Statement Of Faith 

 

We believe in

  • The one true God, The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe that the one true GOD is eternally self existent. He is the creator of heaven and earth and the only source of our redemption. ISAIAH43:10-11, MATHEW 28:19.

 

  • THE HOLY BIBLE. We believe that the bible is the inspired and infallible word of God to man and the only basis for our faith and fellowship. John 1:1-2, 2 Timothy 1:20-21, Revelation 22:18-19.

 

  • JESUS CHRIST. We believe that JESUS CHRIST is the eternal son of God the center of all creation. The scriptures declare His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death triumphant resurrection and His exaltation to the right hand of GOD. Isaiah 9:6-7, 1 Peter 2:22, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Luke 24:39, Acts 1:9-11, Philippians 2:9-11, Hebrews 1:3.

 

  • The Fall and total depravity of man, the necessity for redemption through the finished work of Christ through His blood.

 

  • SALVATION: We believe that salvation is only through the redeeming work of JESUS CHRIST and the regenerative work of the Holy Spirit.

 

  • The Sacrament of BAPTISM (by immersion) following a testimony of faith and conversion. Mathew 28:19, Romans 6:3-4.

 

  • THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT: We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is an important and necessary experience in the life of every believer. Acts 2:38. We believe in speaking with other tongues as an evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit.

 

  • THE SACRAMENT OF HOLY COMMUNION: The bread and fruit of the vine in Holy Communion symbolizes the body and the blood of Christ. A closed communion is observed by the church following self examination by the members. 1 Corinthians 10-16, 1 Corinthians 11:17-32, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18.

 

  • THE LOCAL CHURCH: We believe in the significance of the local church as the arm of Christ to the people near and far meeting the spiritual, physical and psychological needs of God’s people. Mathew 5:13, John 17:18.

 

  • TITHES AND OFFERINGS: We believe tithing is a God given command. It is 10% of our earning and it is and should be HOLY. We believe that “bringing all the tithe into the storehouse” of the church and giving freewill offerings is to be practiced by all believers. It serves as an evidence of the Lordship of Christ in the believer. Malachi 3:6-18, Genesis 14: 18-20, Leviticus 27:30-32.

 

  • THE HOPE OF THE CHURCH: We believe in the resurrection of those who died in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ according to promise which is the blessed hope of the church. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Titus 2:13, John 5:28-29, Romans 8:23.

 

  • THE PERSONAL RETURN OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. We believe that our Lord and savior Jesus Christ will personally return to take the church unto Himself as promised in the Holy Word through the prophets. Mathew 23:39, 25:31, Mark 14:62, Acts 1:11, Thessalonians 4:14-18.
